The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Nigeria, Rev. Chidi Okoroafor has urged Nigerians to trust God who knows their path to lead them safely in year 2018.
Okoroafor gave the counsel at the Church's National Cross-Over Service held at the Assemblies of God Church, No. 222 Clifford Road, Aba.
The Man of God said that Nigerians will experience some shaking in 2018 but added that they should trust God who promises and keeps His promise.
Speaking under the topic "My Presence Shall Go With You", he said that Moses when sent to deliver the Israelites from bondage asked God who he would go with.
Okoroafor noted that God who knew the nature of the task ahead of Moses promised not to send him a man or an Angel but promised to go with Moses in person.
"You may be asking "how you can survive 2018 but God who brought you into 2018 says that His presence will go with you.
"There may be darkness ahead and things that can cause fear in the long year but be assured of the promise of the presence of God that will go with you.
"Men may abandon you but God says I will follow you to wherever you may go. Anyone with God is majority. Trust God who knows your way in this 2018 and you will reach your destination safely", he said.
He said that God's presence was all that a man needed to stay in faith and not to allow the shaking in the new year to take him out of the faith.
Okoroafor said that it was important to remain in the presence of God by living a righteous life in order to get the benefits or presents that come with God's presence.
