Mr Sam Hart, Coordinator, Project Made-in-Aba, an agency promoting transactions between producers and buyers in Aba, Abia, says the new drive for patronage of Aba products would generate over N300 million to Abia monthly.
Hart gave the assurance on Tuesday
in an interview with our reporter in Ariaria Market, Aba.
“Shoe manufacturers have done 1,000
pairs of school sandals to be distributed to students in Abia.
“No matter how low the price is,
their money is in millions.
“The military boots contract they
are handling added, you are looking at almost N250 million coming into Aba
within a month.
“Cumulatively, you are looking at
N300 million – N400 million coming within a month,’’ he said.
Hart said that the government was
working tirelessly to ensure sustainability of the project to encourage Aba
manufacturers in their hard work and creativity.
He said that Project Made-in-Aba had
been doing massive online publicity to showcase the creativity of the
manufacturers.
“We opened a website
(www.madeinaba.com.ng) where we display all products made in Aba; we are using
social media platforms to publicize. We have attracted a lot of interests with
that.
“That is the advantage we offer Aba
manufacturers through Project Made-in-Aba.
